In November, NeoFeed will launch the documentary Circuit Breaker – The Financial Market Revolution, a five-episode series that shows how the Brazilian investment market has transformed over the last 25 years. The production will be broadcast on CNN Money and will also be distributed through NeoFeed 's channels.

Directed and written by filmmaker Lúcio Goldfarb and produced by Carlos Sambrana and Ralphe Manzoni Jr., the documentary took about a year and a half of research and interviews and brings together more than 40 people who participated in the changes that occurred in the sector.

“It’s our calling card for anyone who wants to learn in depth the history behind the popularization and revolution of the financial market in Brazil,” says Carlos Sambrana, co-founder of NeoFeed and producer of the series.

"We learned to operate in the chaos of hyperinflation and, a few decades later, built one of the most sophisticated markets in the world. The series will showcase the characters and companies behind this transformation," adds Ralphe Manzoni Jr., co-founder of NeoFeed and producer of the series.

The Brazilian investment distribution market grew from R$471 billion in 2011 to R$8.5 trillion in 2025, considering investments by individuals in the retail and private banking segments, according to Anbima. During this period, the number of investors on the stock exchange increased, new platforms gained ground, and large banks began to face competition from independent brokerage firms, investment advisory services, and financial education companies.

The episodes begin with a market concentrated in large financial institutions and follow the digitalization of investments, increased competition, the advancement of open platforms, and the expansion of advisory services across the country. The narrative then moves on to future challenges such as artificial intelligence, crypto assets, and the entry of new generations of investors.

For Lúcio Goldfarb, one of the main challenges was transforming a lengthy story, full of characters and events, into a narrative that is also accessible to those who are not familiar with the industry.

“We started with a bold proposal: to tell a grand story that encompassed the entire financial market for 25 years. The main point was to find a creative way to make this story understandable and interesting even for those outside the financial market,” says the director.

Patricia Valle, responsible for content direction at Circuit Breaker and also wealth management editor at NeoFeed , states that the Brazilian investment market is one of those that has changed the most in recent decades.

“This story hadn’t been told before. It was a great pleasure to be able to use the documentary to tell it in a larger narrative,” says Patrícia.

More than 40 people were interviewed, including Guilherme Benchimol, founder and executive chairman of the board of XP; Gilson Finkelsztain, CEO of B3 between 2017 and 2026; Marcelo Flora, partner at BTG Pactual; Carlos Constantini, executive director of Itaú Unibanco; João Pedro Nascimento, president of the CVM between 2022 and 2025; Carlos André, president of Anbima between 2022 and 2026; Alessandro Chagas, investment director at Santander; Luciane Effting, head of Santander AAA; Augusto Miranda, executive director of Wealth Management at Bradesco; Alexandre Riccio, CEO of Banco Inter; Roberto Dagnoni, chairman of Mercado Bitcoin; Roberto Lee, co-founder and CEO of Avenue; Nathália Rodrigues, CEO of Nath Finanças; and Thiago Nigro, founder of Grupo Primo.

“Bringing together some of the leading voices in the financial market was a rare opportunity, but also a huge production challenge. There were more than 40 interviewees, with very busy schedules and different perspectives on the same events. The challenge was to coordinate all these fronts without sacrificing the journalistic rigor of the investigation and, at the same time, transform this content into a dynamic audiovisual production,” says Letycia Cardoso, production director of Circuit Breaker.

The launch marks the debut of NeoFeed Produções, the company's new audiovisual arm, as well as a new phase in the partnership between NeoFeed and CNN Brasil , which already produces projects such as É Negócio, Números Falam, Café com Investidor, Call de Negócios and the Fato Relevante segment.

The technical credits also include cinematography by Fabio de Paula and Vinicius Torres, editing by Rogério Zagallo, post-production by The Hue, and color correction by Marcelo Cosme. Art direction, design, and animation were handled by NOO Works. The production features musical direction by Pedro Michelucci, original theme music for the opening sequence composed by Rodrigo Ramos, mixing by Bruno Pontalti, voiceover by Wanessa Morgado, and image research by Carol Gesser.
